Hi,
(sorry for my poor english)
I've got this situation:
1. After installing MacOS 8.0.1 , CD is not recognized.
2. hardware: beige G3 / 266mhz
3. When I boot with CD (with pushing c when booting), it works just fine.
---
I wanted to install yellow dog linux.
So I partitioned 4G harddisk to " HFS / ProDOS "
When I try to install MacOS to HFS part of disk, installer tells me that
"can not update disk driver cuz it's write protected"
but after ignoring that prompt, it seems installation goes ok. And MacOS boots fine.
only CD is not recognizable.
The disk-driver-update-thing can be a cause of CD problem ?
Thank you for reading this. :)
