I bought the 2.0 aluminum Macbook and then saw the 2.4 with the illuminated keyboard and want to get that one instead. the box that it shipped in isn't even opened... I read on their website, but I'm still unsure if they cover the return shipping.

You didnt know about the 2.4 when you bought the 2.0???
I guess just call Apple and ask them.

I knew, but I had never used an illuminated keyboard before... (friend has a 2.4 and I realized how useful it will be for me).

Yes, you will need to pay shipping. The fact that it's not opened will waive you from paying 10% restocking fee.

You would be responsible for that freight charge as well (taxi, gasoline, tread wear on tennis shoes, burger on the way, etc...) :p
