Time Capsule - connection failed

My TC has gained a number after it, 871001 or something like that, like it's factory reset itself. I can't connect and the password I setup is not being accepted. It all happened after repeated warnings about DNS numbers not being found. I ignored those and it would always resolve the issue automatically a few seconds later. I still have internet access, but I can't get to the files on the TC. Tried pushing the reset button for 10 seconds and also unplugging the TC too.

If it helps, I have an ethernet cable connection from mac mini to the TC. I usually keep airport turned off (would it conflict if I turned it back on?) the TC is then connected to my cable router. :cool:

so when you look at your HD, it shows your TC under "Shared" but cant get to your files ? What happens when you click on "Connect As" ?

Also you may want to try to get into your TC via Airport Utility and see if the settings are reset back to the factory setting.
