Hi guys I just bought refurbish Macbook air 1.8 64gb ssd, so far so good, however the fan speeds up and becomes louder and louder and reach 6000rpm when I play apple trailer (the fan is quite loud), and when I play a movie with vlc it becomes 3500rpm, do any rev a ssd owner has the same experience? should I take it to apple store for a check?

Thanks

It's a known issue with the Rev A. Coolbook has been known to help (search this forum).

That's normal. When I play any type of HD video the fan ramps up to full speed after a while.

Yep, that very normal, mine lasted a very short time until i sold it.

The rev A has many problems. Nearly every major component is problematic in that machine for heat and speed.

My advice, at least consider returning it and getting a rev B. Even with HDD, the rev B will run circles around the original.

I own rev b 1.6 and if didn`t get here I wouldn`t know that it has any fan inside. It`s completely silent.

+1 even running VMFusion whilst working in iPhoto it didn't get above 3,000 rpm, this is on a 1.6 HDD

Sounds like mine and it's pretty much worked like that since day one. Hasn't been a real issue since it's used primarily for non-video content applications.
My advice, don't block the bottom vent holes.

Thank you all for reply.

I realize another problem now, I think my air has the thin horizontal line problem, the screen looks like paper feeling when the background is white. I search forums regard the problem, I guess the issue is never resolve. My guess is the glossy coating cause the "paper like" feelings. But when you look at very closely, you don't see anything except pixels. Maybe it is some kind of illussion?
