I successfully unlocked my iPhone and my mother-in-laws with QuickPwn. Both worked great...until my mother in law upgraded her's to 2.2.1. I downloaded the proper quickpwn files for 2.2.1 but no luck. I re-installed 2.2 and tried it. No luck. What did she do wrong? When I put my Tmobile SIM in I get the message "Different SIM detected, Please connect to iTunes."

Help me o' wise ones!

First, try to restore the iPhone to your latest backup. (So that none of your music or apps are on it).

Then, try to jailbreak and unlock again with the sim card in the iPhone. If everything goes well, you can then sync all of your music and apps again after jailbreaking. I think that sometimes some of the apps on an iphone mess with the jailbreak process.

You have QuickPwn 2.2.5 and both bootloader files correct? I just updated mine today to 2.2.1 and it went fine. I restored with the 2.2.1 FW with my T-Mobile SIM in. I then selected Cydia, Installer, and Unlock on the selection screen. You have to at least select Cydia during jailbreak process.

did you actually unlock it, or did you just jailbreak it?

I chose "unlock" every time. I connect to iTunes and it says "The sim card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported". I can receive calls and it says Tmobile" in the upper left corner but there is a constant "Different SIM detected-Please connect to iTunes" message on the phone. This is driving me crazy!
