Apart from buying direct from Apple, can anybody recommend a place or website where I can buy a black macbook battery?

Cost is the biggest concern, i would rather buy one for as little as possible.

thanks in advance

Do a google search first for price. macsales.com has them, etc. The go to eBay and see. Find there are sellers who sell new, and OEM. Make sure you look on the back of the battery for the model number.

Just bought an iBook battery for $54.00 that Apple wanted $99.00 for on eBay.

Be careful when shopping at an international level. I'm in Iraq and the 220 stuff isn't something to joke about, if you buy something from anything other then www.apple.com make sure it's the same volts/amps/Watthour(not sure if watt hour makes a difference other then makeing the battery last longer) i just bought a 70$ bat for a 13.3in white MacBook that's 3rd party. I"ll let you know how it turns out.
