External monitor problems

Hi,

While using the mini displayport to analog adapter the external monitor sometimes goes black and then a few seconds later the picture will come back again.

Is this a known issue?

you'll need to be more specific. when does it go black, does it work aside from going black at said point, does this happen repeatedly or once

Yes it's a known issue by us, the people who have it. Apple hasn't acknowledged it yet, and we're all still hoping for a fix. Google the external monitor issue on the official Apple discussion forums and you'll find a huge thread about it.

Just found the thread, cheers. Maybe i should of Googled some more before posting this thread...

In the thread though a guy said that when he phoned apple they said it was a known issue and its probably software related and they're working on a fix. Which hopefully will be soon since its rather annoying when I'm trying to watch a movie.
