Hi guys,

How much would a 2.8 CPU for the Mac Pro cost if sold separately??

Could they be taken out and could anyone use one?

New, they go for 800-900. They honestly are pretty hard to find, most of them wind up in Mac Pros, it seems. The actual chip is the E5462, not the slightly cheaper and more common E5440, which has a 1333Mhz FSB instead of 1600Mhz.
