From time to time i get a folder with a"?" flashing while i want to boot my air. (rev A, MBA SSD version).
It happens about one in 5 times i boot it, and the second reboot always solves the problem. In 2 months my one year warranty will run out, and i'm considering taking apple care.
Anyone knows what the cause might be, and if this is worrying (get worse in future?) ...
Love my Mba and would feel gutted if it breaks down beyond repair,
Thanks in advance

The HDD might be failing. You should do some backups.
Did you happen to drop it recently?

Try this: Get your install DVD and boot holding down 'C'. Go to Utilities and run Repair Permissions/Disk, reset PRAM; then consider a trip to the Apple Store. And yes, get AppleCare; Why? My 7-month-old MBAir had a few kernel panics and it began overheating/fans going 6200rpm; got a new logic board and that didn't work, the Apple Store gave me a full-refund on a 7-month-old MBAir. Did I mention, get the AppleCare? :p

In System Preferences > Startup Disk, have you chosen Macintosh HD and restarted?

+1 ^^^ Your MBAir is looking for the hard drive 1 out of 5 start-ups...:(

Ive opened "startup disk" as you see in attachement. Selected the harddisk.
thanks for the advice people!. Hopefully it's the "startup disk" . If not, then i'll get Apple Care and take it from there.
thanks again :)
