My title is a little misleading ... but here goes. Love my MBA but couldn't resist the temptation to pick up an HP 10" netbook since the Amazon price was pretty cheap ($399). It's a nice little machine which I can throw in my briefcase. However, do a little bit of work on this ten incher and then open up the MBA .. and suddenly my 13" MBA looks looks huge!!! Each machine clearly has it's role. The netbook is fine for my daily train trip to work and to shlep around. It would not accompany me on a trip or for times requiring a lot of work and certainly does not sit in the same universe of power as the MBA, but as Randy Jackson would say, "It's a'right". I think the MBA has won my heart.:)

The opposite situation here, I've a Acer Aspire 15.4" and after I got my MacBook mine old laptop looks gigantic in comparison to the MacBook.
But I'm using now my old laptop only for movies (larger screen^^), and work at the same time on my MacBook.

Maybe I will buy an netbook sometime during that year, then I will have the exact same situation like you ;-)

+1 & +2 ^^^ I picked up the Sony Vaio P for the War Department, and that thing is small and light. It seems like half the size of my MBP 15.4" and my MBP takes care of anything video/movie; the Sony Vaio P is just as light as my MBAir...:)

i can't imagine the results you would get if you forced yourself to browse the web and watch movies on an iphone for a week the mba screen would seem absolutely massive haha

+1 ^^^ That's hilarious, I was just watching "Ironman" on my iPhone this morning and this evening on my BART train commute; then stopped by BestBuy and watched the same movie on a nice Samsung netbook but "Ironman" was in HD and it looked pretty good for the 10" screen...:p
