I'd contest that actually. Proxy SIMs do indeed work, although there are lots of crappy knock-offs out there. I've used a RebelSIM in the past, and have never had any issues with it.

Ah, well I know there are some that do work, but people have had problems with them. If you know one that has no issues, fine, go buy it if you cannot wait for a software unlock, but I wouldn't recommend it :(
