Refurb. PB's, is the battery new or used?

I am going over the pro's/con's of getting a refurb 15" alu 1.25 PB. My current question is about the battery. Does apple replace the battery with a new one, or is it i the original (i.e., potential less battery life)....

call and ask apple directly for definite answer.

i imagine it's "like new" - because refurbs are likely returns made within the 10 day window.

you will certainly not lose much battery capacity in 10 days.

I'd suspect the same - the batteries are not cheap, and I don't see Apple just trashing the refurb ones so you can get one with 40 fewer hours on it...
