It is the exact same card as the LaCie FW800 card except:
1) It isn't shipping until 4/5/2004 whereas the LaCie has been shipping for a few months now. In essence, you'll get the LaCie card now since it is already in distribution channels. I got it within 1 day from OWC (on the west coast, too)
2) Miglia is charging about $10 more.
3) Miglia isn't including the power supply for the card which the LaCie unit does. Miglia is charging an additional $29 just for the power supply as "an addon"!
All in all it seems like a ripoff to me. I can't emphasize enough that these are the exact same cards, except for the way Miglia is screw'n customers over due to the above 3 reasons. I've never seen something as ridiculous as this kind of pricing for a pre-exisiting product. When I saw the announcement for this product on MacMinute, I thought I'd let others know about this.
