Hi there,

If anyone can remember the name of this game you would be forever in my thoughts (When I am playing it anyway :))

I have included a PDF of how I remember the interface looking and how it basically worked. The game was available for Mac OS 7.6+ as far as I remember.

Any ideas? I hope someone can remember it! :)
Warm Regards,
Ensign

That was almost too easy. I used to play qix on KL10's running TOPS20 back in the late 70s early 80s. Wikipedia has a page on it.

lol, I have lots of atari games I am trying to find too but sadly I can't remember anywhere near enough to sketch them out!! One that was a maze you walked around and had Moonlight Sonata as the theme tune :)

Qix is a great start, but now I just have to find the exact version I had (it is kind of my way of trying to regain my childhood!!)

Thanks though, I am extreamly grateful! :)

Ensign, check out this site:

I used to play galactic trader at work back in the early 90s. There are some other games there too. Nice to be able to play them again.

How? That drawing didn't even look like any game i had ever heard about or seen, but you nailed that.

By the way, in your drawing one of your notations has a grammatical error. You wrote 'could of' instead of 'could have'.

The top Mac version was called Prometheus by Quarter Note Software, it ran in up to OS9.2.2, and yes it runs fine in Classic if you change the monitor to 256 colours.

Ambrosia also had a version, called Barrack (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/barrack/), except it was multiple balls rather than the dancing lines.

I really like the branch off of that game, where there are balls or something bouncing around and you use arrow keys to make the boxes.
