slide for emergency

I am new to apple iphone. I bought an unlocked iphone online and as soon as I popped in my sim card, the screen will just have the itunes logo at the top, then the USB cable, then the slide for emergency bar at the button in differenet languages. Can someone please help me. I do not know what this means :(

What kind of SIM card are you inserting? In the US, it has to be a T-Mobile or AT&T. For AT&T you don't have to be unlocked.
