I found this on archive.org. It's a video of a song being played with metal balls making collisions with things. It's hard to explain, but you should watch it because it is super rad.

This was at Siggraph a couple (5? 6?) years ago. Still neat nonetheless. Its all CG in case you didnt know.

Forgot to mention, this animation was released last year?? as a demo for the ATI R9700, but it's DX9 so probaly no OSX version.

Kinda reminds me of that Honda thing... anyhow, it took me a minute to realize that it was in fact all CG. Very cool, although it says that they used a computer program to analyze the sound rather than trying to actually keyframe the whole deal. It seems like that would be nearly impossible with all those objects and all. Very nice though. Most impressive!

that's been out for a while, but i still love watching it. they have an ATI system set up at Microcenter with that playing all day long.
