Ubuntu on Vmware new to Virtual machines. Will it work?

Is there anything else i have to do after i burned the iso disk and installed on vm?

Nope. You shouldn't even need to burn a disk, just install from the disk image. I've never had any troubles installing Ubuntu on VMware.
