My wife has a mid 08 Macbook and she cannot load pictures on to Facebook using Firefox. She gets "unload fail, try again later" and I have no problem with mine at all and we're on the same router. Any ideas? is it something with the settings?

Thanks.

EDIT: Also, I told her to try Safari later to see if that works.

I think it's a problem with firefox. I can upload one group of pics and then if I want to load another I have to shut down FF and then restart it.

Have you checked for an update of Firefox? I know 3.0.6 was released lately (just a minor update but it might help if you do not have it already).

🙂

It's firefox, Safari works w/o any problems and I just found out I have problems also uploading pics to Facebook. I talked to 2 co-workers and who have Macs and Firefox and they have the same problem.

Its a flash based system for uploading pics on Facebook, and most likely a flash / ajax error. Updated your Flash recently?

It's Java, not Flash. Java updates are automatically downloaded via Software Update.

Um its flash, log into windows and right click on it.

Facebook uses Flash all the time, in their stupid chat system as well.

If it was Java it would be ajax but its not, check the source code.

When I boot into Windows, this is what I see.

Java and AJAX are completely unrelated. Neither AJAX (JavaScript) nor Flash can access files on your hard drive. However, the entire Facebook Chat system is AJAX. The only Flash-based feature on the site is the video player.
