I just discovered this app for controlling your Tivo Series 3 / Tivo HD / Tivo HD XL. It really is pretty sweet. They have a free lite version which I tried and liked it so much I paid for the full version. Check out the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1yGfJve-IQ

My only issue with this app is the buttons need to be larger and it would be nice if you could change the TV volume with it.

Sounds like a slingbox app for Dish Network will be out shortly. Though the iphone video makes it sound more like a remote for your Dish box and the ability to program your dvr from anywhere. I just signed up for the beta with the link below and it looks promising for programing your Dish dvr away from home.
