Hello, the other day i bought my new 8gb ipod touch. When i tried to connect it to my laptop (Acer 8920G) the Itunes doesn't recognize it. In the "My Computer" screen it shows the Ipod with an icon of a "photo camera". The ipod gets charged normally btw. When i tried to connect the ipod on my desktop it worked fine Itunes recognized it etc. Using Itunes V8.02 which it says it's the current one btw. Yeah i already had itunes installed long before i got the ipod on both pcs. So what makes it work on the desktop but not on the laptop ? What can i do to make it work on the laptop since i'm using that one most since i'm mostly travelling on business ? Any help would be appreciated.

Try a different USB port on the laptop. I have the same issue with my wife's laptop and her iPhone. I'm thinking the 2 USB ports are on different buses. It works on the USB port with more power.
