I've installed Acrobat 6.0 on Panther. However when i try to make a pdf from word, It asks me to locate the print center. What is the print center? (I've never used printers on a mac before) There does not seem to be any app called 'print center' on the machine. Anyone have any advice?

Please don't just recommend that I use 'Print to PDF'. The reason why I needed Acrobat was that the OS X pdf generator seems to have problems with some of my docs. It creates pdfs which look fine on screen, but when they print, em dashes and brackets are replaced by apostrophes and other characters.

Thanks in advance guys

I think Print Center is called Printer Setup Utility on Panther. It's in Utilities. As I don't have Acrobat I can't really help any further.

Sorry.

Thanks in advance guysGo to Printer Setup Utility. You should find a printer choice listed as Adobe PDF. Select it to install a print driver that creates PDF files. It is ever so superior to the built-in "Save as PDF..." button in the Print dialog box.

For anyone that is interesterd, I found that I had option-click on 'Add Printer' button and select 'Advanced' to find the Adobe PDF printer.
