I'm looking for some help with setting up a single system image system.

The end goal would be to run multiple physical computers from a single user interface so that I don't have to keep logging into separate machines via terminal services to do things. I was thinking that if a linux-based single system image system existed that use a common distro with a GUI, then I could install VMware or similar to run OS X or Windows.

I'm guess that single system image projects are all command-line and linux only and that this just isn't going to be an option, but I don't want to give up without asking around first.

I'd start off trying this set up with 4 dual core Athlon servers and if it worked, I'd move this to multiple Mac Pro systems. I just set up an octo core Mac Pro and the one machine is has more capacity than the 4 athlon servers and can be administered from a single interface.

Thanks in advance.

Can you try and explain that again?

This site answered my question and also explains it a bit better. Basically, the answer is no - there is no software that makes this possible.
