Hi guys,

Just a quick one, I've been looking for specifications for the Airport express with regards to compression. If I used it with my iTunes library with Lossless encoded files, would they be on-the-fly encoded to MP3 or AAC or left in their Lossless format?

the wi-fi stuff doesn't touch the data; it just transports it. Wi-fi devices are only designed to transport data.

To my knowledge everything is recrompressed with Apple Lossless. (Which makes sense since the AirPort Express and the AppleTV can't handle all possible audio codecs and alac is a lot better then uncompressed audio)
