I just bought a new motorola and pairing works great but want to know if the iPhone can be set to automatically answer while I'm riding my scooter.

Depending on what model you have, you may just have to press a button on the bluetooth that will answer it.

On most Bluetooth headsets, including the Apple Bluetooth Headset, you do just press a button to answer. However, the OP asked for automatic answering which I don't think you can do on the iPhone.
