VHS to MPEG2 converter

I need to convert some VHS tapes to VCD.
does anyone have any suggestion on a "FireWire" media converter?
i don't want a PCI conver card, since i am going to do this on a PowerBook.
price range is irrevelant.

I bought the Studio MovieBox DV Version 9 Video Editor (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=310886&pfp=BROWSE) and it is great! Setup takes about 5 minutes and you can edit for free in imovie or final cut pro. hope this helps. oh and its only 249.99. I f i could have found anything better I would have because i did not take price into consideration either, i wanted top quality.

you could use a DV camera with video in. Easier / cheaper to borrow / rent than a buying DV bridge if you only need it for a few tapes.
