This is GREAT news, especially for those of you who live in Australia (I know you're out there...). I think a move like this can only help to increase the popularity of Apple's iPod among both Mac and Windows users.

Good to see. Hopefully competition will keep iPod prices down, expand the periphries available and put some competition into their pricing. :D

Yes I fully expect Apple to drop the price of the iPod so that they REALLY have trouble keeping up with supply ;)

I fully expect Apple Australia to profiteer on the ipod mini...shame really to be so cycnical but I very much doubt they will keep to the 7-12% markup they have presently on ipods when it appears...
