Has anyone tried this?

I don't know much about IP addresses. What I've tried to do is use the Terminal and netstat -n after I'm connected to battle.net. I don't get any addresses that end in :4000, though. Is that a Mac/Windows thing?

You linked to a private forum.

The :4000 is generally used to express a port so port 4000 in this case. It is not a mac/windows thing.

I havent read what you link to but I beleive you are talking about querying the server to see how close Diablo clone is to coming, and no I havent tried it.
