The Apple Remote is now a $20 upgrade for iMacs

Also the standard keyboard appears to be wired with the same form factor as the wireless keyboard.

Numeric keyboard at no extra charge.

It was extra $$ with the last model too. Not new.

Sorry I have not purchased a new mac in a while. Used to get those things for free!

And there's 4 USB port on the back FireWire 400 removed. 800 is still on the iMac

Perhaps they are simply answering demand for the smaller keyboard as standard? Most people are now used to smaller keyboards through laptop use, so it's quite possible a majority of buyers will welcome the smaller format with the iMac too.

Well you can either choose the small or large wired keyboard. No cost difference.


More choice = a good thing.

The lack of remote was a bit of a bummer to see. I guess I don't NEED it but it was a nice perk of betting a new iMac.

Yup some people don't use it, but I use it daily. Gotta have it for EyeTV and Keynote!
