Advice for purchasing an Imac

First of all, hello everybody I'm Florent from France 🙂

My old powerbook G4 died on me last september and I've been waiting since for the release of the new Imac. Here it is 😉
But I'm quite confused... I dunno which one to buy ( regarding to specifics) NEW or refurbished?
I m a composer so I m mostly using Logic and audio software
i wanna do games and some video and photo editing of course

Which specifics should i look into more than the others?

I have some, buy an ipad or get a hooked up desktop and download ubuntu studio 64. Besides the fact youll have access to software equivalent to the payonesmsome are better, I have an iMac, I've used it twice I get more done on my iPad 2
 
Not to mention he gave pretty lousy information on an almost three year post.

Why even bother bumping an old thread like that with a crap response? I imagine the OP probably already purchased a system.


More productive on an iPad than an iMac? Seriously? 🙄

yep. in fact the poster is a pretty odd customer, look at one of his other posts and tell me if you know what he means-

"Honestly I was so excited for my iMac, it's horrible, and if you know something's wrong I think customer servicemismreadyntomdie then admit a flaw, if I could gomback I would have got mine through a retailmstoremsomi harm 30 day trial period, not a apple hater, just the only other route is the pro. And I'm not spending 4 grand on a decent rig,also I never owned any it gear that needed hard drive firmware haha"

LoL, good catch I read that in the other thread and had no clue what they were trying to say. Didn't put two and two together and realize it was the same person.

Also, they just joined macrumors... so I guess we can look for more gems from him.
