Okay my monitor is 19" widescreen. so will be Mac mini run on 1440 x 900 px?? well thats what's windows vis has it set to but i am not sure how it would work for mac?

Yes, the New Mac Mini Can Definitely Run upto 1920x1200, and may even be able to run a 30" Display.

Thank you both :) also one more thing as i am hoping it will work as i got a VGA screen if i go to a shop and buy one of them VGA to DVI will that work on the mini DVI to DVI you get in the box?

Because that's the price Apple charges. They don't need a justification.

oh apple, I can tell this relationship is going to be a love/hate thing. Apple actually reminds me of a crazy girlfriend I had in high school that I never really liked, but somehow couldn't get enough of.

Actually the Mini-DVI to DVI cable only supports a digital connection, so getting a DVI to VGA adapter for use with the Mini-DVI to DVI cable would not work. You'd be better off getting a Mini Displayport to VGA adapter (or Mini-DVI to VGA but Mini Displayport is newer).

It's not just a cable like the miniDP->DVI adapter, it is and active converter.
