Need help adding black frames to front and back of clips

The problem that I have is that I have about 200 clips that need 5 frames of black added to the front and 10 frames of black added to the back of each clip. Currently I am adding them as slugs in FCP and batch rendering them in Compressor, but I am hoping somebody has found a better way.

I would love to find a program that could automatically add the needed frames or even render out the 5 and 10 frame piece and join the clips that way, but there needs to be a batch option so I can set it to run overnight. Anybody heard of such a thing?

I can't help you, I would see this is the way, but I was interested why you need to do this.

The project that I was working on has changed, now the client wants the extra black frames added to each clip to assist in the broadcast - transcoding process at their facility.

Charge your client by the hour.
You say 'now the client wants...' indicating it's a new desired part of your work flow, and you should be compensated accordingly... it really wouldn't take much time, just mind numbing, tho eh?
