Macbook doesn't start up

hey all,
when i press the power button on my Macbook, the hdd makes its normal startup sound, the light flashes about 3 times, then the screen stays of, even though the comp. still makes running sounds. I have tried the PRAM reset, putting in the CD and holding C, hard reset, which worked once, then it started flashing and making loud beeping sounds.
im in israel so its kindof hard to find a mac store.. any help?

You could try to find somethings online about your problem.... Can't do much else................

3 beeps is normally bad ram - try taking out both chips and start up with only one chip in (and try each slot in turn if necessary).....

Trial and error to work out which one is faulty - though they might both be...
