I have a friend who's Mac is in the shop, and he wishes to sync his iPod with his library (which we saved a backup of on my local PC's server drive), when we connect it the iPod software wishes us to reformat the iPod for use with Windows. Considering that he'll be getting his Mac back soon enough; is there a way we can avoid reformating the iPod and let it sync with the Windows software? Thanks in advance,

Stolid

There is only a slite possiblity that there is some software out there that can make HFS readable to Windows. But I don't believe that will help you with iTunes on Windows. That is why they are Mac formated or PC formated. And if his Mac will be back soon, he should have enought music on it so hold him over.

I guess the question may already be answered on the MacOpener page.

Sort of strange they haven't said if it'll work with Windows version of iTunes.

But it is the stuff need to read the HFS+ drive on a windows machine.

of course they also have

with some additional features.
