When using Photoshop 7 and Illustrator 9 within OS 9.2, if I created a path in Photoshop, selected and copied it and then pasted into Illustrator, the path would come in and be instantly editable. I could split and move individual elements with the closed path tool as on any other Items I'd created within illustrator itself. In CS3, when I copy the path in Photoshop and paste into Illustrator, I'm asked to import it as a <fully editable> compound path. Now when I select a single element of the paths, the whole lot is selected. I've tried the Object>Compound Path>Release option, but it tells me that the objects cannot be ungrouped. Is there a way around this?
