Yea, I would like to know answer to this as well. Why Apple won't make an official statement regarding to that firmware? At least some people will know if stay with 1st generation TC or go with new one instead.

Couldn't you just check the Mac Rumors home page? That would seem a lot easier than trying to keep up with a forum post.

open the airport utility, highlight your Airport Extreme, then click software update (in the menu)

Oh, I meant more towards the new features. Got it up and running...want to look at some documentation. On initial observation, I take it that only one mobileme account can be logged into it? I logged my wife's account in and it dropped mine.

If you go into manual settings you can share your airport's hard disk with your mobileme account so you can access it from anywhere.

Web Browsing through my original Time Capsule seems a little snappier after the update, not sure if this is because of the wireless being improved or just the overall performance, but I defiantly see a difference.
