Hi All
I know there is loads of new old v new threads, but having read i am most confused.
I was about to buy a new 24" 2,93 but found out i could get one of the last couple old 3.06 for about ten percent less as a stock clearance. Need to go back tomorow as sold most today.
Both are new and not refurb
Basically, which is better? Both get education discount.
Head wants new, also faster DDRM, but old has better graphics card.
I know at end of the day both will be fantastic, but I JUST CANT DECIDE!!!!
HELP AND SORRY!

Has it been shown that the graphics capability of the newly-released machines is less than in the previous generation, or is this only a hypothesis? I'm not sure I've seen any direct comparisons as of yet.

Its a good price you can get the 2.93Ghz model for.. £1300 but the other at £1130 is better in my opinion. An extra 2GB of memory is no more than £42 inc vat.
The newer model has the weaker 120 card in it. Otherwise its pretty even. The new memory will not make a noticeable difference in day to day use. I know... I went from 667 memory to 800Mhz in a PC of mine... barely even noticed any diff at all.

I just picked up the 'old' 3.06 from apple Melbourne $2414.
the 2.93 is $2999. (as was mine last week !!).
If you can get one i think it is better value for money, but they didnt have many left.
first mac and its still in the box !!! :D
