Are my iPod battery issues repairable?

I got my iPod @ xmas and lovin' it! Best toy I've had in years! However, my battery is not acting right anymore. It'll charge for 2 days, and then only show a half charge?? A few minutes after playing, it creeps up to 80% or so charge. Then I get 6 hours at best, usually 5 or less. Is it warranty-able or anything?

battery indicator is slow to update. so it showing half right after you unplug from the charger is normal. like you said, after a bit of time, it should update to the correct level.

6 hours? how often do you switch songs? how high is your bitrate? those will affect the battery life. more often you switch songs and higher the bitrate, the shorter the battery life.

My bitrate is the same one off the iTMS. 128 or whatever it is. I do switch songs a lot, so maybe my battery is ok.

ok, 128 should be fine...

try running it continuously for once, just to see how long it would last...

but i'd think your battery is ok.
