Wow, sooo much unused technology! May I ask why you have so many external HDDs, 2 MacBook Pros, and a 20" iMac on the floor?
You haven't seen anything yet...
I use the external drives to store music, movies and such, backups, and storing files. They come in handy. I have newer WD 1TB and 2TB drives, but they are still in the box.
If you look closely, there is a 3rd Macbook pro on the right of the mac mini box ;) That is my 3rd oldest one, the old style which is open is my current (now old), and the one on the right is my new one. I also have a Macbook Air and my older Macbook pros as well, as well as a Sony laptop and HP tablet
20" iMac and 21.5" iMac are both being replaced with 2 27" iMac's and the sony 32" is being replaced with a Samsung LED.

Left over New Years fun. Took this about five minutes ago.
This is kind of embarrassing because I would NEVER let anyone see my room this messy. Ha.
By the way, the broken Waterford wine glass is the result of me playing frisbee with my Apple Keyboard. I don't remember this of course, that's just what I was told. Ah well. The keyboard still works! Durable little things!

Most of the released stuff are programmed, if not with midi, with some other form of pattern sequencing (ACID, FL). Many people just import samples in audio tracks in Logic or Cubase. It's the quality of the samples and ingenuity of the programmer that makes the difference.
That being said, take it easy on me guys.

I'm using an Acer V223w. It's not great, but it's cheap and I don't need it to display color correctly so it's good enough for what I need it for. I'm going to be asking for another to put on the other side.

Funny how your black computer stands out in great contrast to the alu. computers. Apple should really consider making their portables black aluminium. Black is the new sexy (again).

You mount the four plastic circles, set the board on them, then screw the caps on to hold it in place.
Basically, you'd need to put four screws in the wall. I wouldn't recommend trying anything else, because the board is basically a piece of glass, and having that fall is just disaster waiting to happen.

HP LP2065. 20" 1600x1200. Fits the 30" perfectly in size and display quality since it uses an S-IPS panel.
A little expensive for such a small display but worth it. I've been using a cheap Dell TN 20" wide for some weeks but I recently switched to two LP2065 mounted on Ergotron arms. Totally worth it.
I chose this over a second 30" because I don't like sitting in from of two bezels and the two 20" give me almost the same resolution as the a single 30" (2400x1600 vs. 2560x1600).

The PC is a regular Core2 Duo type box running Win7x64. I would love a workstation quality box, but I have no justification. I just run a pile of stuff at the same time. The C2D chip w/ 4GB memory suffices.
I'm a sysadmin working with Linux, HP-UX, Windows, VMware, and all of the monitoring tools that they imply. :D

I feel like I finally got my desk how I like it. It certainly doesn't compare with some other, but I feel like for now it will do.
I use my MacBook Air for Windows stuff and obviously when I'm not at my desk, but I use Synergy when I am using it at my desk. It's dark outside, so there is no natural light right now.

What happened to switching to a standing desk?
The one I want doesn't come out until this month. Its not so much a standing desk as it is an entire platform that attaches to the desk and you can raise and lower it as needed. I think it would be a better solution for me (and potentially cheaper, I about barfed when I saw the cost of even the smallest standing desk!)
EDIT: Wow they're out! I'm going shopping!

This is my desk and random area where my printer and where my study materials all are. Its kind of messy but it usually always is, im hardly ever home. Im 17, on the desk is like 20$ speakers from target, in the bag is my dell laptop, a calandar to keep track of things. On the floor is my other computer, an old 2007 acer, and my printer, on the laptop is a hard drive that i made, i just bought a enclosure and took my moms old hard drive which was only 80gb but its better than the 5 flash drives i suppose. Then theres my PCAT books(im wanting to be a pharmacist and plan on studying this summer before i go to college, never to early to start learning)

Nothing spectacular in the form of messes, but I was trying to finish up my piece on a fairly large lab report - trying out the equation editor in word 2011 for the heck of it. Meh, the ability to step in and out of equations like nothing doesn't really outweigh how clunky it feels compared to the oldschool equation editor.
Either way I REALLY should start using LaTex or something.

Gahh...LaTex. I'm using that type my assignments for one of my courses. Try using Ipe 7 as your LaTex editor. :) It is available for Mac OS X too - though installing it through MacPorts will take several hours .

Don't worry I'm in the same boat. Out company skippe Vista and are just now getting around to Windows 7 for people getting their PC's refreshed. So I'm stuck until I get a new PC.
Although I am in talks with our IT/Microstation rep about the possibility to get an iMac instead of a Dell Precision PC, even though I would still have to bootcamp into Windows for running Microstation.

You won't, actually. I use VMWare to run Windows 7 alongside Mac OS. It runs great on my late 2008 base iMac - I guess it'd be twice as fast on a late 2011 base iMac.
If you don't want to spend money on it you could use Oracle's Virtualbox. Does just the same, but for free.

I read somewhere that if you run Windows virtually you don't get the full use of the computer's resources (graphics, etc.) for the programs running in Windows as opposed to running from BootCamp. I know Windows 7 will run perfectly virtually, but I'm not sure about how Micrstation will run if I'm not getting the full resources of the computer.

Oh, I didn't know Microstation was a 3D-rendering program. In that case, Bootcamp indeed is a better option because it's possible that Windows will behave a bit laggy in VMWare indeed.

This is my working space in a house I rent with a few other lads in University. It's usually a bit tidier and more organized than this, but even when it's like that it belongs more in this thread than the other ones with spotless desks.
The desk is the worst one I've ever used, I definitely would have brought my own one if I could have a trailer for my car.
And for some reason I have fairy cakes on the floor near the desk, woke up this morning with no clue how they got there.

-I hope you guys like it, im new to the forums so maybe there might be more of my other room in the tv setup section.

Like I said I'm a practicing pharmacist. You are going to need a better eye than that if you want to be a pharmacist ;) We are type A and detail oriented.
Also I highly recommend you do job outlook research. The market is saturated right now, so you may have trouble finding a job without relocating. Also more and more employers require residencies if you want to work in a hospital. That would be 10 years of schooling after high school. Good luck.
EDIT - here is my current set up. It has stayed this way so far...

I've been looking up outlook and stuff and up to 2020 it said it looked good, at least not bad. I'm also going to job shadow like crazy this summer and maybe try and find an intership or something because I read somewhere that like big companies have this pharmacy shadow thing that you stay with them for 4 years and they teach you everything you would need to know and to get used to things, but then i also heard my mom's friends son got on at shop-and-save and hes not even in pharm school yet and they paying half his tutition and they givin him a job on the spot. But then again I dont hear aboutto many shop-and-save stores anymore and the closest ones like 40 mins from me. But im not to worried about things right now, dont wanna freak myself out about not finding a job or anything. But maybe in 6-7 years things will be different.

It's made by a Norwegian company called L&K Lampekonsulenten. I bought it in a local store in Sweden. I don't know if it's available online somewhere. It is feature in their latest collection which can be found on their homepage (http://lk-design.no/index.htm).
