I searched forums for something on this already but found nothing...
If I erase classic to bump a little more juice on the ol girl will it cause any issues. One friend said yes the other said no. I'm on 10.3.3. Thanks in advance

As long as you don't need to use classic anymore, feel free to delete the Mac OS 9 system folder.

It should be fine to get rid of it. I dont have it on my machine. However I didnt erase mine, i just never installed it when i installed panther. You could just back up your stuff and then reinstall panther if your up for it.

yes, you can safely erase classic if you just toss the os 9 folder into the trash, but, if classic isn't running, it doesn't take up any system resources, so you won't notice any speed difference in os x.

Right on... I was under the impression there were some layered utilities and application features that you needed to have in order for things to run straight.

For some apps, there might but not for the os itself. Want to test it? put the os 9 folder in the trash (DON'T EMPTY IT) and then restart your computer. Test out everything, and if it runs, then empty your trash.
