syncing problems

my apple tv will start to sync but after a while it either disappears from itunes or I get this message, my firewall is not on. my pc upstairs and my iphone have no trouble connecting to my network.
last night I hooked up an erthenet cable to sync and got the same message????

My Apple TV does this too.
I usually hook up the ethernet cable, syns, get that message and sync again. usually starts after that.

OP - you are not alone.

Ever since the last update my ATV has been disappearing from iTunes. I have gotten that same useless message as well. I've down it all.

Rebootsed ATV
Rebooted Computer

I may revert back to Apple TV 1.0 - maybe THAT still works ???:confused:
