Using touch on 2 laptops

I have 2 laptops. My songs/appz are on one laptop but I want to at least be able to manage the songs, playlists, etc on my other laptop. I log onto itunes on my 2nd laptop and itunes want to backup my files. What is going on? Is it copying the songs, playlists, appz, etc to my other laptop? I prefer it does not do that. I just want to manage playlists and song info on my touch on it. Is that possible?

So if I log onto itunes on the 2nd itunes and itunes start backing up my files...what is going on? Itunes wiped out my touch in the past when I did this. Of course I don't want that to happen, but I would like to be able to manage playlist, song info, etc on the 2nd laptop. So thats not possible?

You can only sync with one at a time.

You can only auto sync with ONE computer at a time. If you choose manual sync, you can sync with any computer that has iTunes 7 or above.
