Using 1st Gen Ipod with Windows

Im going to buy a 1st gen ipod, and I need to know how to format it for use for windows. I have acsess to realtivly new macs running Jaguar or panther.

You will need to download the ipod for windows software from apple's web site. Install it on a windows pc and and run the updater.exe. This will enable you to format your ipod to FAT32 format. Hope this helps.
