QUICKTIME HELLP

I just upgraded to Quicktime 6.5 and tried playing some traliers on Apple's web site, and when I go to view them the spinny disk will come up for ages, then finally will leave me with the Quicktime logo in a black box where the movie should be! The same problem for Explorer and Safari So I tried to fix all this by deleting everything Quicktime found by the finder and downloading and installing it again. I run Disk Utility to fix permission problems Still doesn't work! I I'm running QuicKtime 6.5/Panther 10.3.3

I even tried installing quicltime 6.4, but there's still some components of 6.5 that I can erase,
Any ideas why is this happening
