Hey guys, I'm new to here, as you can see. However, I'm not new at all to apple stuff. Anyways, my music collection has grown enough to where it won't fit on my rather dated 5th generation iPod video. So the obvious answer is an iPod classic. However, I've noticed this - new ipod generations (this applys to the classic style, video style, photo style, and previous), come out with a new one /about/ every 2 years. The classic, 6th, generation came out in 2007, so this being 2009, I think we're due in for another generation soon. Since new shuffles came out the other day, my estimate would be summer.

Anyways, this is my question - should I go ahead and buy a classic soon, or wait out for the next generation - and opinions on any new generation release dates would be appreciated too. :)

Thanks for any help!
-Dave
