View Full Version : iMac 24" fan noise after repair.

Hi,

I bought a 24" iMac at Christmas. A few months ago I noticed a line of dead pixels. That is a long story but at the end of the day apple accepted the problem and fixed it. I jut recieved it back today. When I turned it on I heard a loud noise sounding like a fan. Also the screen does not show anything. But I am getting sound. Any suggestions as to what this is or how to fox it.

Take it back to Apple if your screen doesn't show anything..

At this very moment in time we are sat in the que on the phone to our local apple store. I was just looking to see if there is maybe a quick fix or even if someone know what the problem might be.

Well I phoned apple and then they phoned me back after a long discossion with the Apple store manager. They have decided that it is not worth fixing and they are going to send me a replacement. The problem is my mac is BTO so they can't jut send a replacement. So o have to wait weeks to get my replacement from the factory.
