hi, i just bought a used macbook 1,1 but it didn't came with the leopard DVD, how can i know my leopard licence to reinstall my OS? do i need to re-buy the leopard DVD? do i need to know my licence hahaha? xD


well... i'm new in mac world, and i really know nothing about macs hahahaha, and i'm sorry if this discussion has been made in other posts, i did searched it, but i didnt find it.

Contact Apple. If you give them your machine's serial number, they should be able to send you the proper restore discs for your machine for a nominal fee.

Officially, without the paperwork and discs, you don't hold a valid license to use the software. But nobody's going to come knocking on your door asking to see your papers. ;)

Apple will cough it up if you call them, but you may have to press them. Been there with an eMac back in the day.
