What about Office Mac 2001. Will it expire after 1 year if not registered?

Thanks! That's a huge relief. I got Office Mac 2001 from my office but I purchased the X upgrade, which I will register. Thanks again A1256!

A quick question! What happens if you purchase the upgrade from office 2001 --> Office X but you want to run OS X (without OS9 --> no classic)? Would OSX allow you to install 2001? If you cant install 2001, how can you upgrade it?

you don't need to install 2001 to update, after a clean install of OSX you can install Office X (upgrade) and when it requests the upgradepath you put your 2001 cd in the cd-rom, v.X recognizes the cd and continues the registration proces.
