Hi there

I'm confused, my Dad's 3 or 4 year old mac Mini has a 1.42 GHz G4 processor, but no Airport or Bluetooth (it's not showing up in system profiler). From what I can see on apple.com etc. the only 1.42 GHz Mac Mini shipped with Airport and Bluetooth as standard.

Was there a minor speed bump at some time between the original release and the move to Intel that offered a 1.42 GHz Mini without Airport and Bluetooth?

Thanks for any info!

Weird. I purchased mine in April 2005 with Wifi+Bluetooth. Perhaps it came as standard on stock 1.42 models, but you have a 1.25GHz model that had a processor bump?

There was some jiggery-pokery in late 2005 with processor updates (1.25 boxes actually having 1.33 processors, etc), so it's entirely possible the OP got a stealth upgrade.

I bought mine in May 2005 and had to add Wifi+bluetooth as an option (about $75 if I remember correctly)

I believe the higher end 1.42 with the superdrive also came with the wifi+bluetooth option.

Mac Mini 1.42 GHz Airport Extreme

Does anyone know what the model # is for the Airport Extreme card that was an option for the 2005 1.42GHz Mac Mini? I have two and would now like to have that capability. I have not been successful getting this info from Apple's web site.

Thank you.
