I've never had a computer with an intergrated graphics card, but I currently run Photoshop CS2 on a Pentium 4, 1GB PC (256mb AGP GeForce card) and the speed is acceptable for me (although I would like a little faster).
The new white macbook looks like it should run photoshop/aperture fine, but I would like someone to confirm that it works well with those applications. The most demanding possible use for my Macbook would be Final Cut Express, but I'm fine with a PC for that at this point in time.
I know those are applications people would usually get a Macbook Pro for but I'm not looking for top speed, I just want something that gets the task done.
Thanks for any help.

As far as I know, Photshop doesnt use the GPU (CS4 does, though)..
The White MacBook has double the RAM, which is also quicker (DDR3 vs DDR2)....
I would agree that maybe the MacBook wont scream, but it should beat your current computer (which you were more or less happy with).

Im running it on a new alu mac book and its been fine. I used to run CS2 on my old pc and it was REAAALY old.
I haven't experienced any problems at all although i haven't really done any big files yet. Hope this helps your decision :)
