I have been saving up alot of my money for some upgrades for my studio and Im thinking about buying a red one to use with final cut and my mac pro. Do i need a special card to use the Red one with my mac pro? I saw the turn key 2k mac pros come with some special card. Also what kind of graphic card/ram do I need? Do you think I will need a cluster to use it smoothly? If I need a cluster I won't get it.

Thanks, I saw the price tag on a red one with everything it needs and I really cant afford it, I expected it to be like $7-10 grand at most. Thanks anyway.

You can get a great picture at a fraction of the price of a RED. Unless you're in the rental business, I don't think there's much sense in actually owning one. If you absolutely needed it for a production you could probably rent it.
Your file sizes are also going to be huge, you'd need lots of storage space, everything takes much much longer to render and convert...
